Dr. Elmer was raised in Tremonton, Utah. He attended Bear River High School graduating in 1991. He then served as a missionary for the LDS Church in the Micronesia Guam mission. Dr. Elmer then attended Salt Lake Community College and the University of Utah before attending Marquette University School of Dentistry where he graduated in 2001.
After dental school, Dr Elmer completed a one-year residency program in General Dentistry at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. After an additional two years of active duty military service stationed at Schofield Barracks Dental Clinic in Hawaii, Dr. Elmer and his family felt it was important to move back to the West to be closer to family.
After a short stay of two years in Pocatello, Idaho, Dr. Elmer started working at Legacy Family Dental in Bountiful in April 2006. Dr. Elmer enjoys the many aspects of dentistry and provides a wide array of services for his patients. Keeping up on the latest in techniques and materials through many hours of continuing education in order to provide his patients with excellent quality care is Dr. Elmer’s main priority.
Dr. Elmer’s six foot eight inch stature may seem imposing, but this gentle giant is warm and friendly and really enjoys people and getting to know them.
Dr. Elmer enjoys spending time with his wife, Julee, and their four children: Kolton (11), Brynnon (6), Talon (4), and Lyndon (1). He enjoys traveling, college and professional football and basketball, running, fishing, camping, movies, yard work, and trying just about anything new.
